The Orthodox Christian Faith

The Orthodox Church is the ancient Christian Church, tracing its life and teaching in unbroken continuity to the Apostles. It holds the faith of the seven Ecumenical Councils, worships through the Divine Liturgy, and venerates the icons and the saints as witnesses to the life in Christ.

Our Parish

Sts. Cyril & Methody Orthodox Church is a parish of the Orthodox Church in America, Bulgarian Diocese, serving Granite City and the greater metro-east area. The community was established in 1979. Services are celebrated in English and Church Slavonic, and visitors are always welcome.

Visiting

There is no charge and no obligation to visit. Come as you are, stand or sit as you are able, and stay afterwards for coffee hour to meet the community.
