Our Services
Divine Liturgy
The central worship of the Orthodox Church, celebrating the Eucharist. Usually on Sundays and feast days. The most common form is the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.
Great Vespers
The evening prayer service, traditionally at sunset. On Saturday evenings, Great Vespers prepares the faithful for the Sunday Divine Liturgy.
Presanctified Liturgy
A special Lenten service on Wednesday and Friday evenings during Great Lent, combining Vespers with communion from previously consecrated gifts.
The Hours
Brief prayer services at specific times of day, including psalms and troparia. They sanctify the day and connect us to Christ's Passion.
Panikhida
A memorial service for the departed, asking for God's mercy. Often held at funerals, on memorial days, or on the anniversary of death.
Akathist
A devotional hymn of praise sung while standing. The most famous is the Akathist to the Theotokos, traditionally sung during the fifth Friday of Great Lent.
